Del Paxton
Del Paxton is a fictional jazz pianist portrayed by Bill Cobbs in the 1996 film That Thing You Do! starring Tom Hanks, Liv Tyler, Ethan Embry and Tom Everette Scott. He is a musical legend in the eyes of the leading character Guy "Shades" Patterson. The two eventually meet and record an impromptu jam session where Patterson plays his drum routine "I Am Spartacus" while Paxton improvises an accompanying piano medley, and Paxton later on hints towards a musical career together.
